Times are becoming tougher for smokers, with more and more people objecting to the nuisance and pollution their habit causes. Yet what made the smoker start smoking, and what prevents him from quitting? This question is investigated by the American Legacy Foundation in this striking spot which uses a huge arrow to “point” to the problem of the respective teenager. The most diverse of labels – such as “Non-Thinking” or “Problems with self-esteem” etc. – highlight the ploys used by the tobacco industry to get young people to smoke, says the VO at the end of this spot.
